THE TEAM
Founder & Coach: CF-L1
Amanda Alexander
Amanda never imagined herself as a fitness enthusiast or gym owner. After realizing she needed to make a lifestyle change to prioritize health, she found her way to CrossFit 8 years ago.
After her home gym closed in 2022, she founded Southwest Training with a simple goal – creating a space where everyone, no matter their fitness level, feels genuinely welcome.
Her favorite thing about being a coach is watching people achieve their goals and seeing the joy it brings them.
When she’s not in the gym, you can find Amanda at the river with her dog Ollie, playing music with friends, or sipping lattes on the porch at Tantra.
Coach: CF-L1, TGC-L1
Eden Hansen
Eden qualified for the CrossFit Games in 2024, and finished 25th in her division. In the off season this year, Eden is hanging out at Texas Barbell and competing in Olympic weightlifting.
Coach: OPEX CCP
Sarah Hansen
Sarah has a passion for teaching folks individually and tailoring programming to their specific needs. That focus led her to earn her OPEX CCP certification. Sarah loves working with women 40+ that are experiencing hormonal changes. You'll hear her preach the power of protein regularly.
Coach: CF- L1
Noah Islas
Noah's background is in track and cross country. He's currently training for a triathlon and has been competing at Hyrox competitions nonstop.
Coach: USAW-L1
Cassie McClure
Cassie is our resident Olympic weightlifting pro. She's on the Texas State Weightlifting team, and has qualified for University Nationals and U23 this year. She has her USAW-L1 cert with plans on getting her L-2 this year.
